the tv performs well. it is very annoying however that the sleep timer is buried four menus deep. it is a hassle to get to and actually causes me to use the tv infrequently. the smarthings app is marginal at best. the functionality is extremely limited. most menus can't be accessed and changing channels is near impossible. the alexa routine is also marginal at best, especially for something advertised as having alexa compatibility. however, more annoying is trying to get in touch with customer service to leave feedback. there is no survey and no email. having to work through an automated chat feature or wait on hold with an ivr after calling is just plain annoying.

got the tv home, took down my old one and unboxed my new tv. found out samsung does not include the required mounting screws and best buy does not sell them. have to get them from amazon and it will take 5 days. in the meantime i have a mess in my bedroom or i have to remount the old one. this is a terrible customer experience. spending $500 on a tv and they don't include the screws or even let you know they aren't included is absolutely insane.

The remote. With so many TVs and other A/V equipment, the remote is an after-thought design. You know the ones. They have a circular Nav keys, a num pad, volume keys, a mute key, and a lot of other keys that never get used in a non-ergonomic arrangement. Not with this TV. The design of this remote had the attention of a lot of engineers. With surprising elegance key, functions have been merged into a comfortable array. Using just a thumb, you can perform any function. Now if engineers could just design better Getting Started instruction that reduce the learning curve.
