I bought this washer/dryer two years ago. In the first year under warranty the dryer filter came out during drying cycle and chewed up kids underwear. Had to wait over one month to get this serviced. Same thing happened again on August 13...I have placed emails, tried to call someone and nobody responds. In fact when you call they voice message says "call back later as we are helping other customers"....I am beyond frustrated at this point...why did I listen to the salesman?? I was told these were top quality. Spent $2000....poor service

My 20 year old Kenmore survived a house fire and work for 8 years afterwards until it died in June 2021. There was a shortage of gas dryers available and I specifically wanted one with a stainless steel drum. After calling multiple appliance dealers, I found a 627 gas Electrolux with a stainless steel drum at a local appliance store with a price reduction. My clothes have not been dry since. My first load of clothes in the dryer was as wet as when they went in. That was when I discovered that the initial installation crew did not turn on the gas. so I turned it on. I guess that installation crews no longer check to see if the gas is turned on and the appliance works. After turning on the gas, It still did not dry the clothes. We had to run every load, no matter how small, through each cycle at least twice. Finally we found that we could only get things dry by using the timed 40 minute cycle on high heat and high dry. For many items, despite properly separating heavy and light clothes, it took at least 2 cycles of 40 minutes on high heat and high dry to get things near dry. I called the dealer who's first question was "Is the gas on?" I said "Yes, I turned it on myself.". They sent some ser vice people out to check that it was properly installed. The service people sent out from the appliance dealer said it was not properly heating up and should be replaced. About a week after they came and filed their paperwork, I was contacted by a customer service person from the appliance repair store with which the appliance dealer is contracted. She told me I had an appointment with the repairman on Tuesday morning, but she needed the serial number off the dryer because the one on the paperwork from the dealer was for the pedestal. She said they would not repair my dryer if it was not registered. I gave her the serial number off of a sticker on the dryer that said "serial number" which I thought was the one I had used to register the dryer, but she said the dryer had not been registered. There were two barcodes with different numbers that both said "Serial Number" and she said they were both wrong, but could not tell me where to look for the correct one. Since she called me right before I was leaving for work, I did not have the dryer manual in hand to read about where to look for the serial number. She really upset me and eventually she said she would call the dealer and have one of their servicemen come out and get the correct serial number. Then she hung up on me. I felt horrible after speaking with this woman. She treated me like I should be happy to have received a phone call at all. No service person ever came to get the serial number, so I called the dealer and they were quite surprised that she said one of them would come to my house to get the number. After talking with the dealer's representative, who told me where to look for the serial number, I was able to photograph it and text it to them because they said the only way they could contact the repair shop was via email. I took off Tuesday morning to meet the repairman, but no one came. No one called me so I left a couple of voice messages on this repair company's voicemail.. When I did receive a phone call, it was the same woman with the demeaning manner. She said the I had an appointment the following Wednesday. W hen I tried to explain to her that I thought the appointment was for the previous Tuesday and that I had taken off to meet the repairman, so yelled at me and said "No" your appointment is next Wednesday" and then she hung up on me. I had to have someone meet the repairman the following Wednesday, because I had to be at work. Apparently, the repairman did some diagnostics and told my neighbor that he thought there was a blockage in the dryer duct, as well as several other things being wrong, like not having a cage over the vent outside to keep animals from crawling in. He said he would be back the next day, or the next. But I had moved the old dryer away from the wall, disconnected it and cleaned the ducts, before the new one was installed.I went and got a brush that could be attached to a drill and cleaned the vent from the inside of the garage to the outside. I then went outside and removed the hood covering the vent opening on the outside. I could not put the brush up through the duct, because there is a one way flap over the opening to the duct. You have to hold the flap open in order to run the brush into the duct. I got a couple handfuls of lint to come out, but not really that much. It believe that it would be quite difficult for something to crawl into the duct with the one way flap and the vent hood attached. Since the repairman had pulled the dryer away from the wall and disconnected the ducts, but left it plugged in and the gas on, I decided to ignore warnings and try to dry g a small load of laundry without the ducts hooked up.T he load still did not dry fully on 40 minutes set to high heat and high dry with the dryer not attached to the ducting. I did not succumb to carbon monoxide poisoning or catch the house on fire, but I would not suggest running you dryer for very long like this. Anyway, I seriously doubt that the duct is clogged. I think there is a heating element that is not working or some sort of sensor that is not working. But this Wednesday, the repairman is supposed to come by with a piece of plastic vent of some sort to hook the dryer back up. If hooking the dryer back up with a piece of plastic venting gets it to dry my clothes. I will be grateful, but I seriously doubt this is what will happen. After having read the reviews on certain sites for the appliance repair company, they have a very poor reputation. Not just with the person on the phone, but also for their ability to perform repairs. I am surprised that a dealer would contract with this company for repairs, knowing how the public feels about their service. I am equally surprised that Electrolux allows such a business to represent them and let people think that they are a good repair shop. I will gladly update this review, if and when this very expensive, oversized lump of steel sitting in my garage either works or is replaced and my clothes can be properly dried other than displaying them publicly to the neighborhood traffic on a line outside my garage door.

Stopped working after 10 months, now 3-week wait!

We bought the washer dryer set EFLS627UTT + EFMC627UTT . The latter (the dryer) stopped working after about 10 months. We called customer service, and now there is a 3-week wait for the dryer to be serviced ! On top of that, the customer service on the phone was not helpful or sympathetic to our problem, and we have no follow-up number to call back (we want to make sure maintenance people bring the necessary stacking rack for replacement and that 2 people come given that the machine is in a tough spot to get to). So after shelling over $2,000, this kind of customer service is a huge let down, on top of the machine not working... I would recommend LG or Miele, which in my experience have been much more durable brands.

Reviews are good so off we went to buy this product along with washer less than a week ago but after just one load which was way below the suggested weight load, the bulb behind the door came off as is it was connected at all.
