This is my first time having a Fridgidaire Disposal, and I was a little concerned because of it only being a 1/3hp. This thing works WONDERFULLY! A great addition to my new home. I've used it about 5-6 times now, and I have nothing but positive feedback from the first time I've used it, and even after. A quick tip - if you've used it a few times, drop a few lemon slices in and run the water while running it - helps get rid of any smells and kill off germs!
Overall this is a good buy

After installing, I noticed that the sink flange was too high on the sink. You could catch your fingernail on the edge. I bought a new over the counter flange. It fit much better. I did have another problem. It seems to be a design problem. When I turned the water on it would pool in the sink. Second, the splash guard was impeding the water flow. I had to stick my fingers into the hole to start the flow. I found a better on at my local hardware store. I also had to buy another compression ring. The compression ring and the splash guard are one unit on this model. I had to buy a new slim fiber gasket. The one supplied was too thick. It only has to be as thick as a piece of file folder. I found one at my local hardware store. After spending the money and installing twice everything worked as it should. Spent around $25.

Little to no vibration. Everything you would expect from a good disposal.

We purchased a 3 yrs old home with this specific disposal installed and having returned from a 2 week vacation, we found the unit inoperable . . humming noise, then 'popped' the reset button. Despite the 800 Help Line reference to YouTube for troubleshooting, there is NO INFO or help videos on Frigidaire model disposals . . they also have no manual 'crank' socket in the bottom of the unit like Badger models, etc. There is nothing jammed in the sink opening (top of the disposal), its just 'frozen' or rusted and refuses to budge.

We have been in our new home 1 month. We love all of the Frigidaire appliances...including the waste disposer.
